september 2009 : Sardou goes to Mercury
After two records with the label AZ / Universal, Sardou is changing to a new label. He is now in the walls of Label Mercury / Universal, directed by Olivier Nusse. According to some sources, Valery Zeitoun appeared very distant with our singer, often leaving without support. The withdrawal of Robert Goldman changed the deal. Sardou choosed to join a new music producer, able to bring new ideas, find partners and oversee the next CD. We hope that Oliver Nusse will be as good as Regis Talar was !
2010 : New album
Up to now 15 texts have been written or co-written by Michel Sardou. Music is being written now and first listening was done on September 9th, 2009. Robert Goldman is not currently participating to this adventure (for personal reasons - there are no quarrels between the 2 men). Veneruso will always be present but less than on the 2 previous albums. Daran too. Sardou announces a new sound. Recording is scheduled for the first half of 2010. A first song could be released before summer 2010. The album is planned for October or November 2010. The musical direction is again in the hands of Valerie Michelin, who gave us so much pleasure in 2004. Michel said he would go to the USA (Santa Monica) from January to July 2010. Maybe the album will be recorded in the USA, with a "Johnny Cash" colour.
2011 : New tour, with some new songs, and new musicians Sardou mentioned himself there could be a full orchestra. Sales are scheduled to begin on first quarter 2010. It seems that the Universal staff has already booked a concert hall for the tour in Paris. Rumors suggest a start of the tour in February 2011, in the Omypia. Selling of the tickets should start first half of 2010.

Latest TV/radio interviews:
- Revaux talks about Sardou in a recent interview on Nostalgie radio. Jacques Revaux seems now in peace with Michel ("the hatchet is buried").
We learn that Revaux has signed or co-signed 217 songs for Sardou. When we check the "Integral" bow, we can count 184. So there should be a good amount of unpublished songs available !
Best seller book "Et qu'on n'en parle plus" (autobiography)
According to some sources, more than 160.000 copies of the book written by Michel Sardou have been sold, which is an excellent sale.
NEWS: THEATRE
October to December 2009 : Theater toutThe whole troop is back on the road. Mathilde Penin, recently hired on new play lead by Eric Assous in Paris, left the band. She is replaced by Chloe Berthier. More than twenty spectacles will be given in France and Brussels. No return to Paris.
